Introducing our Amazing Staff of Course Instructors


                                                                                                                                       EYLEEN FAUST, owner /director  

Eyleen Faust is an Artist and Expressive Arts Therapeutic Facilitator who has been designing and leading classes based in the arts since 1995. She received her Bachelor's degree in Studio Art and Art History from William Paterson University, Wayne, NJ, and continued on to The Institute for the Expressive Arts at Salve Regina University, Newport, RI where she received her professional training and certification in the Expressive Therapies. It was during this time and also through her work teaching "The Artist's Way" course by Julia Cameron that Eyleen developed her unique method of teaching others how to use the artistic process to experience a personal connection to universal creativity.


Eyleen is the founder of Artsy Smartsy, and she has served on the faculty at Montclair State University's Gifted and Talented Youth Program in Montclair, NJ. Eyleen's work with children provides an outlet that supports and stimulates their creativity while teaching them how art has been used since the dawn of time to tell the story of humankind and our experience of the world around us. Eyleen's love of art and teaching is apparent as she leads her classes. Her enthusiasm will inspire you and her creativity will impress you.


It is Eyleen's mission to share the power of the creative process with people from every walk of life, and to help unleash the artist in everyone.



SYLVONA JONES, Course Instructor

Sylvona Jones is a graduate of Bloomfield College, received a bachelor in sociology. Then she went back and got her credentials in elementary and special education.. She has been in education for 15 years and she is also a member of the International Honor Society in Education.

Sylvona is the mother of two wonderful sons. She has always had a passion for art and she believes that art expands a child's ability to interact with the world around them, and it provides a new set of skills for self-expression and communication.

ALLISON WHITE, Course Instructor

Allison White is in her junior year at Montclair State University as an Animation and Illustration major. She is an illustrator, book lover and an up and coming cat lady. Upon graduation, Allison plans to become a children’s book writer and illustrator. In addition to creating children’s books, she wants to share her love of art with children in the form of teaching. As an Artsy Smartsy instructor,, Allison not only learns new and exciting things about the kids she will be writing for one day but also she inspires children to love art as much as she does. 

REBECCA NOCELLA, Course Instructor

For as long as she can remember, Rebecca had a pencil, crayon or marker in her hand.  When her mom told her to go and play, she ran straight to the arts and crafts box. Recognizing her creative enthusiasm and talent, she was enrolled in an after school art program at the age of 6... she has not stopped making art ever since! 

Today, Rebecca is a self employed graphic designer. Her work has been featured in Graphic Design USA Magazine, from which she has won several awards. Her love of working with children led her to Artsy Smartsy.  She hopes that her personal and professional experiences can help nurture and mentor the next generation of creative professionals.
