PAINT PARTY - Kindergarten - Grade 3
Mondays - 3/28, 4/4, 4/25, 5/2, 5/9, 5/16, 5/23 THIS CLASS IS FULL
Become a real painter each week with us as we
create a great series of paintings and learn the techniques and concepts that
go into successful art. Guided by our amazing painters you’ll use high
quality acrylics and learn color, perspective, light & shadow, composition
and much more while you relax with your friends and enjoy some conversation and ART! You’ll finish with some amazing painted
canvases, including your masterpiece – a beautiful larger piece that
incorporates all of the concepts you have learned along the way. EMBROIDERY CIRCLE Grades 3 - 8

Embroidery is a lovely creative
pastime, encouraging social interaction while giving us a break from the
craziness in the world. The pieces that you stitch are unique and special works
of art. Join our friendly stitching
circle and become engrossed in a classic and timeless art while you learn a few
stitches and create beautiful hand crafted accessories with embroidered needle
art.

CLAY PLAY - Kindergarten - Grade 3
TUESDAYS- 3/29, 4/5, 4/26, 5/3, 5/10, 5/17, 5/24
Join in the fun as we
explore many different ways to create with clay. Throughout history pottery has
been the container of choice for storing, serving and preserving foods, liquids
and other goods in the home and hearth.
It has also been the medium of choice for making jewelry and other
decorative items that enhance our lives and build self-esteem. We’ll use air dry clay to sculpt and mold,
make jewelry and kinetic art with polymer clay and have an awesome time with
everyone’s favorite - Model Magic!

GLASS MENAGERIE - Grades 3 - 8
TUESDAYS- 3/29, 4/5, 4/26, 5/3, 5/10, 5/17, 5/24
The use of glass as a
medium for art has ancient roots, and the process of creating glass artwork is
much the same today as it was thousands of years ago. We’ll use different types
of glass to craft usable projects and jewelry adornments while we study the
history and process of this wonderful art experience. Create stained glass with glazing stains, turn plain
glass objects into beautiful etched and painted works of art, and produce
lovely fused glass pieces, which will be kiln fired offsite at our studio.

MYSTERY DINNER THEATER - A POP STAR MYSTERY - Grades 4 -8
Can
you imagine yourself as part of an awesome company of actors, artists, and all
of those who make the theater an extra special experience? Let’s put on a show and give our audience a
mystery to solve the way it’s done at great dinner theaters all over the
country. We’ll learn a professional
mystery script, create costumes and turn an evening in the Parish Center into a
fantastic theater event, complete with food, family and tons of mystery & comedy fun!
This season we present "A Pop Star Mystery,"
Pop
Superstar Destiny is celebrating her world tour with a pre-show party for her
5,000-person cast and crew. She announces a special gift for one lucky
employee, but she discovers it's been stolen! Destiny and her friends must
unravel the mystery — all before the lights go down and the concert begins!
Solve the mystery in this fun interactive party kit.

LEGO CHALLENGE - Kindergarten - Grade 3
WEDNESDAYS - 3/30, 4/6, 4/27, 5/4, 5/11, 5/18, 5/25 THIS CLASS IS FULL
Join in
the fun as we use our bricks to build projects together, or accept the
challenge to create some new and amazing things on your own. Build some cool creatures, gadgets, vehicles
and buildings while you learn structural, mechanical and civil engineering
principles and stretch your imagination!
Lego bricks are provided but will not be taken home. (Students each
receive a mini build kit as a take away at the end of the
series.)

CHESS - Grades 2 - 8
WEDNESDAYS – 3/30, 4/6, 4/27, 5/4, 5/11, 5/18, 5/25
This
is not your same old Chess class! You’ll
study chess with a Master at your own skill level while you learn how to set up
a board, how the pieces move, and how the game develops. Students play chess
matches each week and are paired by skill level. There are also some creative
surprises that will help you to play and understand the game and how it
developed through history into the most popular game in the world today

COMIX & CARTOONS - Grades 5 - 8
THURSDAYS - 3/31, 4/7, 4/28, 5/5, 5/12, 5/19, 5/26 One of the most awesome ways to express
ourselves is through characters in a comic book or cartoon. The characters can be exaggerated and
embellished to become anything we want them to be and the stories they tell are
always imaginative and fun. In this
class we will travel into the world of cartoon art and learn all the basics for
creating comic books and cartoons to share with friends and family
